4 Ways to Beat the Post-Disney Blues
Whether it’s been days, months, or years since your last Disney trip, Disney fans know the sadness that comes from missing Disney. Here are 4 ways to beat the post-Disney blues!
While none of these will measure up to the real thing, use them to pass the time until your next Disney vacation!
1. Cook Disney Food.
There are plenty of places to find Disney recipes or copycat recipes. Beat the post-Disney blues by trying to make some of your Disney favorites at home!
Stores and online realtors like Walmart, Target, Amazon, and many more sell books like “The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook”.
This book gives you the opportunity to cook and bake from coast to coast, with recipes from Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, and all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
From Matterhorn Macaroons to Blue Milk, or even a Mickey Pretzel, this cookbook has everything from drinks to meals to desserts. It probably has some of your favorites!
If you’re looking for a recipe from outside the theme parks, check out Pinterest for some other fan favorites. How about some Tonga Toast?!
Everything tastes better at Disney; we all know that! But a taste of Disney can help hold you over until your next Disney vacation!
2. Read Disney Books
There are lots of Disney books out there, from classic fairytales to newer stories.
Many classic Disney stories can be found in Little Golden Books. Read a favorite with your family, like “The Jungle Book” or “Finding Nemo”.
For teens an adults, some newer books are out there. Check out author Ridley Pearson’s Kingdom Keepers series.
This series follows a group of teens through adventures as they save the theme parks. Villains come to life and try to take it over!
Book series “A Twisted Tale” puts a new spin on some of our favorite fairytales. These books are written by various authors.
For one of my favorite movies, Tangled, Liz Braswell wrote “What Once Was Mine”. In this Twisted Tale, Rapunzel’s hair has the power to hurt, not heal.

It is definitely on my must-read list!
These are just a few series that are available. Check out Amazon or a local bookstore for some more Disney books and series!
3. Watch Disney Parks Documentaries.
Disney+ has some great behind-the-scenes and historical documentaries.
National Geographic series Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom will excite the Animal Kingdom fans! Behind-the-scenes looks into the parks are always fun.

For Disney history fans, Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives is a must-see!
If you are fascinated by attractions and theme-ing, see if your favorites are on Behind the Attraction! You don’t want to miss the Haunted Mansion episode.
The Imagineering Story gives a unique glimpse into how the Disney parks are created. If there’s an aspiring Imagineer in your life, they’ll want to see this one.
Fans of Frozen II, you do not want to miss Into the Unknown: Making Disney Frozen II. This six-episode series walks you through the process of making this incredible animated film.
