Josh D’Amaro To Present Creating Happiness: The Art & Science of Disney Parks Storytelling at SXSW

SXSW announced a slew of new speakers who will be attending the 2023 conference in Austin, Texas. Among such luminaries as Eva Longoria, and Nick Jonas, the festival announced that Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro will be presenting!

For those of you who don’t know, SXSW, or South by Southwest, is conference and festival. The gathering celebrates the convergence of tech, film , music, education and culture. The event is held yearly in Austin, Texas, and will be taking pale from March 10-19, 2023.

The sprawling event features tech conferences, film and TV festivals, concerts and exhibitions. All in all, SXSW lets industry leaders and insiders gather to explore the future.

Creating Happiness

At this years SXSW, Josh D’Amaro will host the Creating Happiness: The Art & Science of Disney Parks Storytelling.

In this session, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro will share how Disney’s storytelling techniques will build on its legacy of creativity and innovation for a world that can use just a little more happiness.

When highlighting the session, SXSW noted “For nearly 70 years, Disney Parks has created happiness for millions through experiences that bring Disney’s beloved stories to life. Across its theme parks, hotels, cruises and adventures, Disney Parks has curated magical places around the world where a simple moment can become a treasured lifelong memory. The ‘Art & Science’ of storytelling is the secret to how Disney amazes its Guests and delivers.

Finally, if you are a Disney fan who is planning on attending South by Southwest this year, this is sure to be presentation you will not want to miss! While SXSW is scheduled to be held from March 10-19, it has not announced what day the Disney session be.
