Breakfast at ‘Wave…of American Flavors’ Is Moving Upstairs to California Grill
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that Disney recently announced that the Wave at Disney’s Contemporary Resort would be closing for good. The also said that a reimagined dining experience would open at some point in the near future. However details remain scares.
This leaves an obvious hole in Contemporary’s dining options as Wave…of American Flavors was a popular breakfast dining option for those looking for a delicious meal without the characters at Chef Mickey’s.

However guests may be in luck. as Disney recently announced that breakfast would be shifting to California Grill while Wave is rethemed.
For those unfamiliar, California Grill is the rooftop fine dining experience located on the top floor at the Contemporary. It’s known for it’s sushi and fireworks views at dinnertime. And official announcement is not up on the Wave restaurant page with the following announcement:
As you can see from the note in red above breakfast will start at California Grill beginning on July 16th.
Now as of going to print, there’s been nothing said regarding whether a new breakfast menu will be unveiled or if the existing Wave menu will simply move upstairs. But for those looking to make a reservation here’s a look at the current breakfast menu as it stands!
