7 Special Events For Youngsters at Walt Disney World This Fall
As we approach mid-August, Summer is officially winding down and fall is officially right around the corner. This is a wonderfully unique time for families to visit Walt Disney World with a range of incredible seasonal activities! Here at MickeyBlog two of our favorite Autumn events are almost here. The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival kicks off on August 29th and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will start bringing the spooktacular fun to the Magic Kingdom starting on August 16th!
Both events are ideal for all ages, and will surely meet the approval of little ones with the following awesome age-appropriate activities.
At the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival:
Disney Du Jour Dance Party: Little ones can rock out to a DJ spinning tunes daily, plus appearances from favorite Disney characters with live performances by Radio Disney artists on Fridays and Saturdays during the Fest.
Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt: Help Remy from Ratatouille find some ingredients necessary to make up some delectable dishes in this family-friendly scavenger hunt. Find all of the items on his list and you can turn in your sticker-filled map for a special Remy-inspired prize.
Candy Sushi presented by Adventures by Disney: Kids can learn to roll sushi-inspired creations with a Disney chef using gummies, crisped rice and other colorful and delicious sweet treats. This event happens daily during the festival inside Sunshine Seasons. (A small fee is required. Reservations are recommended.)
Family Play Zone: Let your little ones burn off some energy at this fun playground designed with pint-sized kids in mind. They’ll also love the Disney theming!
Kid-Friendly Dishes: Check out dishes designed with kids in mind like one of our favorites, the Belgian Waffles dripping with warm chocolate ganache and whipped cream at the Belgium kiosk, or loaded macaroni and cheese at the Active Eats stop.
At Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party
Over at the Magic Kingdom, there’s also wicked fun for little ones during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Each Fall, Magic Kingdom Park is transformed with ghoulish ghosts, glowing jack o lanterns, gentle spooks, candy trails and so much more. And don’t worry, it’s not scary! Little ones love the friendly frights during this Halloween celebration for visitors of all ages!.
Disney Junior Jam at Storybook Circus: This popular dance party features some of your favorite Disney Junior friends including Vampirina, Doc McStuffins and more. Kids love dance time with their pals, and this is one party they won’t want to miss.
“Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade” is my all-time favorite! Find your favorite spot for the early parade, and munch on some themed sweets while you take in grim grinning ghosts and floats overflowing with a flurry of characters decked out in their Halloween finest.
So get the whole family into the spirit of fall with these annual, Can’t-miss events at Walt Disney World Resort!
