Construction Update: Summer House On the Lake at Disney Springs
Our MickeyBlogger was at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World today and decided to pop by the future home of the downtown district’s newest eatery – Summer House By the Lake.
Slated to open at some point in 2023, Summer House on the Lake will feature a California-inspired menu with simple sustainable ingredients.
Summer House on the Lake already has locations in Chicago, Illinois and Bethesda, Maryland. The aesthetic of the eatery will be that of a breezy beach house.
The full-service restaurant will also feature an in-house bakery, extensive wine list and a handcrafted cocktail list.
For those familiar with Disney Springs, Summer House is being built in the location that was formerly home to Bongos.
A large construction wall surrounds the location. It features signage that highlights the atmosphere and menu of the future eatery.
It’s still very early days for the project and we suspect that it may be later in 2023 before Summer House officially welcomes its first guests to the Walt Disney World location.
