Coming in 2023

Perhaps the most highly anticipated ride to debut this year, TRON Lightcycle / Run will open in the spring of 2023. I cannot tell you how excited I am about this attraction!
Die-hard fans are sure to enjoy the high-stakes race that places you in the middle of the action. Based on Disney’s sci-fi film TRON: Legacy, Guests will be able to hop onboard their very own Lightcycle, traveling at 60 mph!

Also opening in the spring of 2023, Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ will arrive in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The counter service restaurant features the familiar faces of Andy’s toys!
In late 2023, Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana premieres at World Nature in EPCOT. Guests can explore the wonders of water via an interactive trail based on the beloved, animated film.

EPCOT will replace its spectacular, Harmonious, with a new, unnamed, nighttime show in late 2023. An updated version of the fireworks show, Happily Ever After will return to replace Disney Enchantment sometime after Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration ends on March 31, 2023.
As announced at this year’s D23 Expo 2022, Figment will return for meet-and-greets at EPCOT in 2023. Also in 2023, Disney World will follow suit with Disneyland, by featuring the Hatbox Ghost in its Haunted Mansion ride.

Fans were thrilled at the end of last year, when the Walt Disney World Railroad returned! Guests can enjoy a trip around Magic Kingdom, complete with new narration throughout 2023!
MickeyBlog recently reported on new updates added to Walt Disney World’s Resort hotels. The renovations continue in 2023, on properties such as All-Star Sports, the Grand Floridian, and Caribbean Beach!

A brand new restaurant debuts in Disney Springs in 2023, called Summer House on the Lake. Located near the AMC movie theatre, it’s expected to open in the latter half of the year.
Coming in 2024
Walt Disney World’s Splash Mountain will permanently close in January of 2023. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open as its replacement in late 2024.
