TRON Coaster Photo Update
Our MickeyBlogger is making the rounds over at the Magic Kingdom today and we thought we’d give you a weekly update for the TRON Coaster. Disney has not yet announced an opening date but work on the site seems pretty close to completion.
We find the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is the go-to spot to get nice elevated views of the construction site.
If you’ve been following along with us, you may remember that the Light & Power Company, which is the next to Space Mountain, was also having some work done to the side entrance.
This area has essentially become a walkway to get from Tomorrowland to the Tron Coaster.
Construction walls are still up surrounding the side of the shop.
Earlier this morning, we shared a look with you of testing underway for the Walt Disney World Railroad.
In these TRON Coaster photos, you can actually see the tracks for the railroad. Also notice how the design of the coaster incorporates a tunnel for the railroad!
The tracks are back in place for the railroad and testing and training are both happening for the classic ride.
Above is a closer look at the train tracks as well as the entrance to the TRON Coaster.
Over the past few months, it’s been non-stop construction though today it seems oddly quiet.
We suspect that there’s only limited work to the exterior to be done!
Its been really wonderful over the past two years to watch this location go from empty lot to state-of-the-art Disney attraction!
Here’s a video that our MickeyBlogger Jared took during his Tomorrowland visit today.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog. We’ll be coming to you LIVE from the theme parks each and every week!
