A beloved holiday tradition is underway, and tonight is a big night for fans. Neil Patrick Harris returns to narrate Disney World’s 2022 Candlelight Processional!
This heartwarming production commenced at Disneyland in 1958. After its overwhelming popularity, it was introduced to Walt Disney World for its 1971 inaugural holiday season.
Initially located in Magic Kingdom, it moved to EPCOT in 1994. The incredibly moving performances are beloved by fans.
Disney’s Candlelight Processional takes place during EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays. This year, Shang-Chi’s Simu Lui kicked off the festivities.
Other 2022 celebrity narrators include Whoopi Goldberg, Josh Gad, Gloria Estefan, Cal Ripken Jr., and Angela Bassett, to name a few. This evening through December 18, Neil Patrick Harris will be on hand to delight Guests.

A fan favorite, this is not Harris’s first rodeo! The actor has participated in several shows over the years, and will hit the stage tonight for his first performance.
The Christmas spectacular occurs nightly at 5:15 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:30 PM at the America Gardens Theatre in EPCOT. MickeyBlog is at the 7:00 PM show, bringing you festive images and videos from the event!
People will undoubtedly be lining up early to catch Harris recounting the Biblical story of Christmas. For those unfamiliar, an orchestra and massive choir will join in, presenting classic songs of hope and joy for the holiday season.
Harris is a highly anticipated celebrity narrator. Last year, he took to Instagram to share that he was missing the beloved event.
He wrote, “It’s been a huge tradition in our lives.” Fans were excited about the end of his post, where he announced he’d be back the following year.
He added, ” Can’t wait to be back in 2022.” Well, the day we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived!
