Disney Plus Brings Extra Magic to the Theme Parks This Holiday Season
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that the holidays are in full-swing across the theme parks and resorts. This year Mickey and Co are even getting some holiday inspiration from Disney Plus!
Let’s check out a few of the ways that Disney’s streaming network inspired the holiday fun for 2022!
Walt Disney World Resort
Disney Springs:
Kicking things off at Disney World’s downtown shopping, dining and entertainment district, guests can jingle all the way with some favorite seasonal tunes spun by Disney’s very own elf DJ!
Another highlight you’ll want to be on the lookout for is a strolling magical sleigh inspired by the Disney Plus+ original series The Santa Clauses.
For an interesting bit of holiday nostalgia, head over to Disney ‘s Days of Christmas at Disney Springs where Tim Allen’s iconic Santa suit is on display. Be sure to have those cameras at the ready!
While we’re on the subject of The Santa Clauses, Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs is also getting in on the fun. They’ve created the Santa Clause Petit Cake. Inspired by the show, this flavorful chocolate chip cookie cake features vanilla mousse and chocolate chiffon cake.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been sharing images of the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll. Among this year’s incredible designs, is a tree that celebrates Disney Plus. The Disney+ tree is adorned with twinkling blue lights and white decorations, just like the Disney+ logo. You’ll also notice tributes to some of your favorite Holiday classic films hidden in the branches! How many can you spot!?

Each night in Town Center at Disney Springs a magical snowfall also appears while a familiar voice welcomes you to Disney World. – It’s Stephanie Beatriz the voice of Mirabel from Disney’s Encanto who whishes you a “fantastical and magical” Season Streamings!
EPCOT:
One of the not-to-be-missed activities this year at the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is the Cookie Stroll. Playing along is easy. Simply pick up a Festival of the Holidays passport, try the items on the cookie stroll list and guests that complete it can get a special treat!
Also, in celebration of The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special which is currently streaming on Disney+, cookie stroll finishers will also receive their very own collectible pin featuring the Holiday Special logo. However, quantities are limited so get yours soon!
Disneyland Resort
Next we move over to the West Coast where the Happiest Place on Earth is also dressed up with holiday spirit. As an extra bonus and in celebration of The Santa Clauses on Disney+, you can enjoy goodies inspired by series like the Mrs. Claus’ Hot Cocoa Macaron or Santa’s Milk & Cookies Hot Coca. This is the PERFECT way to satisfy your holiday sweet tooth.
Downtown Disney
Also be sure to head over to the Downtown Disney District. Near Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Tortilla Jo’s you’ll find a new photo backdrop also celebrating The Santa Clauses.
While at Downtown Disney, you’ll also want to grab a Holiday Gift Guide. This will act as your Santa list of sorts and is brimming with gift-giving inspiration!
Disney California Adventure
Head over to the Avengers Campus to celebrate The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Near the location of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: BREAKOUT! you’ll find some of your favorite guardians ready to have a dance party!
The ride itself also features some special holiday twists!
