An exciting project is in the works across the sea. Here’s your first look at Hong Kong Disneyland‘s Arendelle Castle from World of Frozen!
World of Frozen
Announced in 2016, World of Frozen is an expansion project developed by the Walt Disney Company and Hong Kong Disneyland. Multiple new attractions will be added, including the Frozen-themed land, Arendelle: World of Frozen.

Other additions include a Marvel-themed land, Stark Expo, and Castle of Magical Dreams, which replaced Sleeping Beauty Castle in 2020.
The storyline picks up after Frozen, but before Frozen II. The kingdom of Arendelle is peaceful and prosperous and Queen Elsa has created a Summer Snow Day for its citizens.

World of Frozen will be located between “it’s a small world” and Toy Story Land. Originally, it was meant to open in 2021, however, the project has encountered several delays.
It is now set to open in late 2023, in honor of Frozen‘s 10th anniversary. Disney Parks recently tweeted some pictures of Arendelle Castle’s progress and it looks amazing!

Arendelle Castle
In the movie, Arendelle is the birthplace of sisters, Anna and Elsa. Its Norwegian-inspired design sets it apart from other Disney castles. Let’s take a look at Hong Kong Disneyland’s beautiful palace.
In the first picture, you can see that it is truly is coming to life, with most of its exterior complete. Disney’s tweet shares that it “will soon be topped off with ice ornamentation,” adding to the Frozen theme!
Its details look so realistic, what a perfect replica of the castle seen in the film! Shades of blue really pop against the dark brown wood and gray bricks.

Check out the handcrafted rooftops, which must’ve taken quite some time to construct. The images bring back nostalgic feelings from the movie.
It will be amazing to see the completed castle next year. We can’t wait until it opens to the public!
We hope you enjoyed this first look at Hong Kong Disneyland’s Arendelle Castle!
