Walt’s Main Street Story Tour Takes Guests Inside His Disneyland Apartment
A new Disney Parks offering provides a one-of-a-kind experience for fans. Walt’s Main Street Story Tour takes Guests inside his Disneyland Apartment!
Disneyland Apartment
Upon entering the Disneyland Resort, Guests can go one of two ways. To the right, there is an incredible art store called Disneyana and the popular “The Disneyland Story Presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.”
But, if you enter to the left, you will find some hidden Disney treasures! Along with City Hall, a Fire Engine draws the attention of Guests.
Little do some of them know that an iconic piece of history sits right above the carriage they take their photos in. The spot I’m referring to is Walt Disney’s personal apartment.
If you’ve never seen it in person, look for the light in the window. The lamp stays lit to this day, in honor of Walt Disney.
Earlier this month, Mickey Blog reported that guided tours would be returning to Disneyland Park. Let’s take a closer look at Walt’s Main Street Story Tour.
Walt’s Main Street Story Tour
Disneyland’s official website describes it, “Experience Main Street, U.S.A. through Walt’s eyes while uncovering the history and secrets of this iconic thoroughfare.” Disney aficionados and history buffs will not want to miss this immersive experience!
Next, Guests are whisked inside Walt’s legendary apartment which I’m sure, provides a moving experience in and of itself. Lastly, for the first time ever, Guests are treated to refreshments on the apartment’s patio!
Guests are allowed one photo inside Walt’s apartment and it cannot be their own. But, not to worry, a Disney photographer is available to snap a photo of each person in front of Walt’s nostalgic lamp!
Disneyland’s website says that Guests will also receive a commemorative lanyard to take home. For $160, the 90-minute tour seems well worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime experience a Disney fan would never forget.
