Best Disney Desserts for Your Sweet Tooth
The happiest people know that breakfast isn’t the most important meal of the day, dessert is. And Walt Disney World is full of mouthwatering, sugary, and sinful desserts.
From hand-scooped ice cream on Main Street U.S.A. to artisanal bakeries in EPCOT, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. There is a perfect dessert for everyone, whether you like something refreshing and fruity or smothered in chocolate.
You won’t be able to sample everything, but we do recommend you try these exceptional treats. Save your wallet, and appetite for at least one daily snack that is worth the calories.
To help you get started, check out some of our all-time favorite goodies!
Cheshire Cat Tail – Cheshire Cafe
This flakey pastry is perfect for so many reasons. Filled with the perfect amount of warm chocolate and drizzled with frosting, it puts Pop-Tarts to shame.
You can find this delicious treat at the quaint Cheshire Café, tucked near the famous teacup ride. This stand is rarely busy and is a wonderful alternative to the swarmed Main Street Bakery.
You won’t regret visiting this pocket of Wonderland for this one-of-a-kind treat.
Cinnamon Roll – Gaston’s Tavern
If you want a more filling option, New Fantasyland is a short walk away. Make your way past the Beast’s castle to Belle’s provincial village.
Once you spy Gaston’s (probably self-funded) statue, head into his tavern for the best cinnamon roll of your life. These are no ordinary cinnamon rolls.
These rolls are essentially the size of a small cake. Generously smothered in frosting, cinnamon, and butterscotch topping, you might have leftovers.
Trust us when they say they are life-changing.
Ooey-Gooey Toffee Cake – The Liberty Tree Tavern
We don’t have proof that our forefathers ate this cake, but we hope it feeds generations to come! We are talking about the famous Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at The Liberty Tree Tavern.
This cozy, family-style restaurant resides in Liberty Square. Make a reservation in advance so you can gorge on their turkey, stuffing, and this incredible cake.

Stuffed with toffee chips and covered in chocolate sauce/ice cream, everyone leaves room for this dessert. (Don’t forget you can ask for seconds!)
Many fans have recreated this recipe at home, but nothing compares to the “real” thing.
Nutella Waffle – Sleepy Hollow
If you couldn’t get a Liberty Tree Tavern reservation, an equally wonderful dessert is a stone’s throw away. Specializing in funnel cakes and baked goodies, Sleepy Hollow’s Fresh Fruit Waffle sandwich is a can’t-miss indulgence.
Imagine biting into a fluffy waffle overflowing with chocolate-hazelnut spread and fresh fruit. Truly, it’s a taste of heaven.
This waffle can easily be eaten by one person and makes for a perfect breakfast. With Cinderella Castle in the background and this waffle sandwich in your hand, life won’t be sweeter.
Citrus Swirl – Sunshine Tree Terrace
Dole Whips may be the reigning champion for ice cream, but Citrus Swirls are the heir apparent. Found in Adventureland’s Sunshine Tree Terrace, this ice cream treat is known for the adorable Orange Bird mascot.
Eat a spoonful of this wonderful soft-serve ice cream, perfectly blended with both vanilla and orange sherbet, you’ll be hooked. It is the taste of paradise.
School Bread – Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe
Another yummy gem, this pastry has a cult following in the World Showcase. The School Bread is much beloved for its not-too-sweet, but satisfying flavor.
Skip the insane lines in France and head over to Norway’s Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe for a fresh piece of School Bread.

This decadent doughnut is stuffed with custard and coated in coconut. Order one and put your feet up at a nearby wrought-iron table.
Have one bite and you’ll understand why this is on several Top 10 Disney Snack lists.
Bread Pudding – ‘Ohana
Speaking of fan favorites, many people dine at ‘Ohana just for the complimentary dessert. At the end of each dinner, ‘Ohana Bread Pudding is always served warm, covered in flambeed banana fosters sauce.
It’s hard to make room after feasting on wings, peel-n-eat shrimp, and pork dumplings, but we’d behoove you to try. This is another recipe that many fans copy, but few can bake to ‘Ohana perfection.
Resist taking seconds at dinner so you can truly savor this caramel-covered delight.
Caramel Apples – Various Locations
No Disney dessert list is complete without their caramel apples, only for the sheer variety of choices! Available at many spots including Goofy’s Candy Company in Disney Springs and Big Top Treats in the Magic Kingdom, these apples are the stars of dessert cases.
Unlike your typical festival caramel apple, these apples come in a variety of designs and toppings. Choose from a selection of chocolates, sprinkles, and character designs to create the caramel apple of your dreams.
(We do recommend keeping these refrigerated. If you can’t, devour it immediately!)
With toothbrushes on hand and self-control (somewhat) in check, we know that any of these treats will satisfy your sweetest craving. Happy snacking!
