Dormouse Brings Delight to New Cheshire Cafe Slush
The darling scene featuring the Dormouse from “Alice in Wonderland” adds a moment of peace to the Mad Hatter’s otherwise chaotic soiree. Dormouse’s famous line, “Twinkle, twinkle, little bat,” now serves as inspiration for a new slush that just debuted at Cheshire Cafe in Magic Kingdom.
Situated just outside of the Mad Tea Party as guests enter Fantasyland, Cheshire Cafe always offers unique sweet treats and clever beverages.
The new “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat” slushie did not disappoint today. The drink starts with an ultra-sweet, grape slushie. Then, the refreshing beverage receives a hefty dose of fluffy whipped cream.
Finished with a pink-striped paper straw, the clever white chocolate umbrella really ties in the Dormouse’s descent into his teapot in the 1951 animated film.
Knowing the humidity’s impact on most desserts at Walt Disney World, we recommend biting into the umbrella sooner rather than later.
The $5.99 slushie joins an ever-growing list of beverages and snacks dedicated to “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” eighteen months of festivities dedicated to the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary beginning on the actual date, October 1, 2021.
At Cheshire Cafe, we also recommend the pepper jack pretzel to balance out the drink’s ultra-grape, sugary flavor. During this fall season, the Cold Witches’ Brew Coffee also remains quite popular among Magic Kingdom guests.
The Binx Pastry Tail also continues to be a solid choice with the dark chocolate drizzle adding a touch of richness not often seen on Magic Kingdom pastries.

Cheshire Cafe sits just across from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe as guests approach Fantasyland from the hub. It’s a great spot to quickly grab a snack before venturing further into one of the most trafficked areas in the historic theme park.
