Could an ‘Eternals’ Sequel Still Be In The Works?
The Disney MCU juggernaut rarely has any “misses.” That’s why it was such a surprise when Eternals, helmed by Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao had the distinction of being the first Marvel film to receive a “rotten” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
With such a divisive film, many assumed that a sequel to Eternals was unlikely. However, a recent piece in Forbes suggests that this may not be the case!
This news comes as a result of recent press done by Black Panther and Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore. When asked about the Eternals, Moore said, “I don’t want to spoil anything, but we have not seen the last of those characters.”
Now, it should be noted, and Forbes does point out, that this could mean anything from a cameo to a sequel. However, with so many characters, it would be hard to imagine a way that they could be featured other than another film or even perhaps a Disney+ series.
It should also be noted from everything we’ve seen/heard from Marvel that a sequel isn’t in the current MCU pipeline. However, not all of the projects have been announced.
It should also be noted that the Eternals teased Harry Styles as Eros in the post-credit scenes and set Kit Harington up as the Black Knight as well as Mahershala Ali’s as Blade! For all of these reasons, this is a story that we will continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Marvel news and updates.
