Construction Update: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you may have heard the news that there is construction going on at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The area of the deluxe resort that was previously home to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show was demolished to make way for a new building.
The new building will be home to additional Disney Vacation Club properties.
Disney has said that the new area will also feature additional resort amenities and eateries.
The construction site experienced a bit of a setback a few weeks ago during Hurricane Ian.
The entire area that you’re looking at above was completely underwater after the storm passed over central Florida.
Since then the area has been drained and it looks like there has been some additional progress on construction at the site.
No word yet on what the timeline for this project is. However, this is a story that we will continue to follow closely.
We promise to keep you posted.
Below is a look at what the new building will look like once completed. It is noticeably taller than the other buildings and will boast waterfront access.
