Post Hurricane Flooding at Polynesian Village Resort
Over the past two days, we’ve been visiting different spots at Walt Disney World Resort to see what damage Hurricane Ian may have caused. During monorail ride, we noticed quite a bit of flooding ta Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
These image are from the former location of the Spirit of Aloha which has been demolished to make way for more accommodation.
Undoubtedly, due to its close proximity to Seven Seas Lagoon, this construction site has turned into a bit of a makeshift lake.
As we passed by, it looked like crews were on the scene to start draining the area.
This may put a bit of damper on site construction but we’re just glad no massive damage was caused from Ian.
Other than the flooding, signs of the storm were minimal.
We did notice some downed branches.
Debris could still be found in some of the lower traffic areas.
