Creature Comforts Opens New Space, Expands Starbucks Location
Looking for a Starbucks Coffee beverage to jump start your morning (or let’s be honest, afternoon) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Thousands flock to Creature Comforts for just that each day, and now, the space there appears to be far more accommodating to the large crowds that often gather there.
In late September, Creature Comforts shut down half of the facility without warning. The location often features specialty drinks and sweets for the season, so the closure right as fall arrived surprised many.
The new design definitely opens up the main space for the quick service stop. The only major difference appears to be the removal of bar stands that previously sat in the middle of the room.
At the old high-top stands, guests could add creamer and sugar to their beverages with a convenient place to set down their beverages.
Today though, Creature Comforts patrons turned instead to a time-honored table top on Walt Disney World property: the top of a well-placed trash receptacle.
Shelf-like spaces line walls around the counters as well to help with guests needing to place their items down for a short time.
Creature Comforts Delights
Aside from the usual array of Starbucks bevvies, Creature Comforts now features two seasonal drinks: the Iced Toasted Vanilla Oatmil Shaken Espresso and the Dragon Drink, which combines dragonfruit with mango into a fusia-colored, tropical iced cup of greatness.
