CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: TRON Coaster Looking More Magnificent Each Day
It’s a new week and that means its time for us to see how construction is coming along on the TRON Coaster at Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom.
It’s amazing how much the project has come together over the last few weeks.
We are starting to see the grounds around the attraction take shape.
From this vantage point, the attraction does look like something out of a Sci-Fi film!
Underneath the canopy to the left, you can see, the tunnel that will be used on the Walt Disney World Railroad’s updated route.
A concrete partition has also been put up between TRON and Space Mountain.
Teams are still hard at work on the entrances and exits to the attraction with steel railings now in place.
The past few visits we did manage to see some ride testing underway. However, today the lightcycles were not out.
The attraction is slated to open in Early 2023. Disney has not given a specific date yet!
It looks like most of the work being done now is cosmetic.
The trees that now appear in the planters are new.
Landscaping is always a good sign that work is winding down.
A concrete partition has also been put up in between the TRON Coaster and Tomorrowland Speedway.
If you’ll be visiting the Magic Kingdom in the days or weeks ahead and want to check out construction for yourself, we recommend climbing aboard the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
This is a story that we will continue to follow closely.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
We’ll be coming to you LIVE from the theme parks each and every week.
