TWO Refreshing and Themed New Drinks Arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Have you ever stopped by the Thirsty River Bar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
Tucked away in the Asia part of the park, with Everest looming on the horizon, it’s an unassuming bar and snack spot that makes a great quick stop on your trek around the area!
Our MickeyBlog explorers have been over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom yesterday, and heard a buzz that there are a couple of tasty new treats on the menu. So, we headed on over to Asia to take a closer look.
The bar kiosk is housed within a tall, welcoming building. You can’t miss it – just look for all that flag bunting!
Inside, we were right to find that there is, not one, but two new drinks on the menu.
Each available for a limited time only, these tasty sips are sure to be refreshing, uplifting, and totally unique!
The first drink on the menu is aptly named the “Yeti Sunset,” presumably for the gorgeous color of the sky setting over the Expedition Everest attraction.
This alcoholic concoction includes Jack Daneil’s Tennessee Whiskey, mixed with a sweet and refreshing Strawberry and Lychee Lemonade. This cocktail costs $13.
Next up, we’ve got the Sangria Roja – a perfect taste of Spain! According to the signage, this alcoholic sangria is infused with fresh oranges and apples, and blended with E&J Brandy and red wine.
The perfect party drink for an Animal Kingdom celebration! This one also costs $13.
You will notice from the signage that the sangria has actually been released as part of the National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, taking place all across Walt Disney World through September.
Part of the celebrations include the release of lots of limited-edition, Hispanic-inspired treats, including the sangria. Earlier in the month, we also tried this awesome, Encanto-inspired cupcake – a true taste of Colombia!
It looks like guests are already eagerly lining up to get a refreshing beverage on this warm day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
So, now you know where to go, will you be stopping by the Thirsty River Bar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a cool, fun, and refreshing beverage?
