The Tracks Have Been Laid for the Walt Disney World Railroad!
MickeyBlog kicked off Disney+ Day at the Magic Kingdom but Disney’s streaming network wasn’t the only thing that we were celebrating. During our visit to Tomorrowland we noticed that the tracks have been laid for the Walt Disney World Railroad.
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that the Walt Disney World Railroad was closed at the same time that construction started on the TRON Coaster.
This is because the original tracks went directly through construction site.
As a result, the tracks were pulled up while the coaster was built. A tunnel to support the railroad tracks was actually incorporated into the TRON coaster’s design.
Disney announced several weeks ago that they were beginning to train the new conductors and engineers for the railroad.
Now it looks like we’re getting even closer to the return of the railroad and hopefully with that the opening of the TRON Coaster!
These images were taken aboard the PeopleMover approaching Space Mountain.
Remember that MickeyBlog is on our way to the D23 Expo in California. The Expo is expected to be a treasure trove of news when it comes to theme parks news.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that we get a TRON announcement over the weekend!
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with us!
We promise to let you know as soon as any theme park news is released!
