It’s Halfway to the Holidays at Disney’s Beloved Christmas Shops
We couldn’t possibly celebrate Halfway to the Holidays without celebrating the places at Disney World & Disneyland where it’s Christmas every day of the year. I mean, of course, the awesome Christmas shops!
Disney Days of Christmas
If you’ve never been to Disney Days of Christmas which is located in the Marketplace neighborhood of Disney Springs then you are missing out! Steeped in nostalgia, this shop is the perfect place to stock up on Disney souvenirs to adorn your tree. You can commemorate your Disney vacation by getting your ornament personalized! Disney Christmas shops have artists on hand that can handwrite your name, phrase, date or more.
Chris Clayton, a merchandise cast member at Disney Days of Christmas talked about the atmosphere in the shop, saying, “Think about it. You walk in and you’re my guest, and the very first thing I say is ‘Merry Christmas!’ Automatically, there’s a smile on your face.” Chris went on to say that no matter what month it is, the holiday spirit lives within her as well as guests, the minute they walk into the shop.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
This is one of my favorite gift shops in all of Walt Disney World. Located in Liberty Square, this Magic Kingdom spot is brimming with holiday goodies all year round. Be on the lookout for advent calendars, ornaments, wreaths, garlands, figurines and so much more. It’s impossible not to leave this shop without a smile on your face and an ornament or two!
Plaza Point Holiday Shoppe
Next, we head over to the West Coast for Disneyland’s newest Christmas shop – Plaza Point Holiday Shoppe. Located on Main Street USA in Disneyland, this shop has a delightful backstory. The tale starts with Miss Evelyn Toro, the proprietress who curates a wonderful collection of holiday decor! You’ll get swept up in the magic of browsing through ornaments, housewares and accessories. You can even watch the artistry in action as Cast Members hand paint names on ornaments. Personalization is available for purchase year round.
Shelby Cooper, is an ornament artist at the shop had this to say about creating holiday magic for guests, “I really like doing the artwork, just personalizing for the guests.” She continues, “I had one little girl who wanted every [artwork] option on her ears, so she just picked all the colors out. She wanted hearts and pixie dust, and she wanted all the different artworks, so that was really fun to try to fit everything together.”
So, if you’re visiting the Disney theme parks, no matter the time of year, be sure to pop by this beloved Christmas shops for a wee dose of Disney holiday magic!
