Disney’s Halfway to the Holidays Kicks Off This Week
June 25, 2022, comes later this week; therefore we are halfway to Christmastime! Accordingly, Disney’s Halfway to the Holidays celebration begins this week, and Disney will release all sorts of announcements.
Anticipated Announcements
Of course, no one is 100% sure what traditions, foods, and upcoming celebrations will be announced, but it is fun to speculate! The main announcement everyone is hoping to hear is the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
As you may already know, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event hosted at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Traditionally, it runs on select nights throughout November and December all the way up to Christmas day.

Previously, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party lasts from 7:00 pm to midnight. However, Guests who purchase tickets for the party may enter the Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 pm.
Of course, the tickets cost a separate charge from the general admission tickets, but they come with huge benefits. Just to name a few, Guests obtain free treats, parades, low crowds, short wait times for attractions, a special fireworks spectacular, Christmas stage shows, and more.
Last year, Disney replaced Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours because of the pandemic. This was a smaller event, but it still gave Guests an exclusive taste of the Magic Kingdom.
Excitement for the Holidays
Disney Parks’ tweet specifically says that they will be celebrating “jolly surprises, limited-time offerings, sneak peeks and more.” Also, Disney encourages everyone to keep an eye out on Disney Parks Blog, and MickeyBlog will definitely be watching!
Some may wonder if the Dream Lights will return to Cinderella Castle. Of course, that’s always possible; however, Disney did not place Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle in 2021 due to Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration. So, only time will tell.
