Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom Dabbling With Brunch Service
We’ve heard reports trickling in over the last week that Be Our Guest, the Beauty and the Beast-themed restaurant at New Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom is opening earlier than usual and serving up brunch. With that in mind, we decided to drop by the eatery this morning and we can confirm that it is true.
As you can see from the Disney World website, the hours posted for Be Our Guest have the restaurant opening at 10am. Yet not mention of brunch appears on the website and there is no brunch menu. So here’s what we found out from cast members on the scene.
The cast members onsite at Be Our Guest advised that Disney has yet to unveil an official menu for breakfast or brunch. We can also confirm that unlike the pre-covid breakfast service at Be Our Guest, Brunch at the moment is still falling under the current Be Our Guest pricing for Lunch and Dinner. That cost is $62 for adults (ages 10 and up) and $37 for children (ages 3 to 9) for a three course prix fixe meal. Tax and gratuity are not included.
In lieu of a an official brunch menu, Be Our Guest seems to be offering a range of traditional lunch items (like a salad as the first course) combined with some breakfast essentials.
One example of a “Brunch” dish that the cast mentioned to us was a Crab Meat Omelet with Brie. We were also told that there are breakfast staples for the kids including those all important Mickey Waffles classic breakfast faire like eggs, bacon and potatoes.
This is a positive sign that Disney may be dabbling with the idea of bringing breakfast back at Be Our Guest and that what we are seeing is a trial run of sorts.
That being said, given that its not a character dining experience, $62 seems like a steep price tag for breakfast.
If your dream is to dine at Be Our Guest and breakfast works for you- go for it! But Disney regulars or those not visiting until later in the year may want to wait it out until the eatery finalizes its breakfast plans.
