The Jungle Book was released 55 years ago on October 18, 1967. Remember, that was just 10 months after Walt Disney’s death.

Audiences loved the animated film, which is now a classic, in large part due to the fabulous soundtrack filled with songs from the Sherman brothers.
Animator Andreas Deja – a Disney Legend – is curating the new exhibition.
The Jungle Book: Making a Masterpiece
We can expect an exploration of the complexities of making the Jungle Book, the cutting-edge animation techniques and the creation of the characters’ personalities to pair with their voice actor’s personalities.
Walt Disney passed away during the production of the film, which had a huge impact on everyone involved it the production and release of the film.
Cause awareness exhibition
Creative Conservation: The Art of Endangered Animals is another new exhibit will debut concurrently with the Jungle Book exhibit.
The Walt Disney Family Museum has partnered with five wildlife sanctuaries located around the world for this new exhibition.
It will feature abstract and pawprint creations by rescued and rehabilitated animals, complemented by wildlife-inspired artwork by Deja.
All works will be available to purchase through the museum’s website, with proceeds supporting the wildlife sanctuaries.
Full exhibition details and opening date for Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book: Making a Masterpiece will be announced in early April.
