Do The Animatronics at “it’s a small world” Run All Night Long!?
It’s a world of laughter, and world of….never ending movement!? According to a recent TikTok that is making the rounds, the animatronics at “it’s a small world” are NEVER turned off and eerily run throughout the night, even when the theme park is emptied out of guests and cast members.
Though I can’t confirm or deny this, you can check out the post in question below:
@themouselets this is actually so creepy to think about #disneyworld #disneysecrets #disneyparks #disneyfacts #disneyhistory #disneystorytime #disneyyoutube #disney ♬ It’s a Small World – Christmas Party Music
As you can see from the clip above TikTok account @themouselets says that though the lights on the ride go out and the music stops, all of the characters that represent cultures from around the globe just keep right on moving. As of going to print this clip has over 450,000 views!
But the strange facts don’t stop there Disney friends! As Thrillist points out, one reader took it a step further in the comments to share another creepy factoid. They said that they were told by a VIP Tour Guide that cast members need to cut the hair of the dolls on the ride because it grows! The commenter said that this needs to happen once or twice a year because the weather conditions cause the yarn to expand. According to the article, this fact seems to have been backed up by a few Disney fans.

Oh, and did you know that apparently “it’s a small world” isn’t the only attraction that has animatronics that run non-stop!? According to another TikTok post by the same account, the rule also applies to the Native American animatronics which you can see along the river via the Walt Disney World Railroad or the Liberty Belle.
What do you think!? Truth or Urban Myth!? Let us know in the comments below.
