Following several weeks of interviews, tasks and workshops, the panel have announced that the Disneyland Paris Ambassador Selection has found its two newest members.
Given the honor of representing the Disneyland Paris resort from 2022-2023 are Carmen Lleo Badal and Quentin Rodrigues. And quite an honor that will be, too!
Carmen, originally from Castellón de Plana in Spain, first joined the Walt Disney Company in 2011. Starting as a seasonal employee in both Food & Beverage and Attractions inside the Disneyland Park.
An expert in the creative field of event management, Carmen has also been working to help share magic with guests planning their Disneyland Paris trips in the Contact Center since 2018.
She says: “For me, Disneyland Paris is above all my family story. My parents are also big fans of the resort, and we used to come here very regularly. Working at Disneyland Paris was more than a dream, it was the logical next step in my career, and today, even my little brother works as a Cast Member during the high seasons!”
Originally from Yvelines, France, Quentin first joined the company in 2015 to work as an Attraction Host at Walt Disney World.
In 2018, he joined the exciting Show & Ride Engineering department in Disneyland Paris, working to ensure the best attraction experience for guests as a Mechanical Engineer.
Quentin says: “Disneyland Paris is the company that made me want to become an Engineer. I knew that I wanted my work to contribute the emotions felt by our Guests. I’ve always been very curious, and when I was younger, I wanted to understand how the attractions at Disneyland Paris worked.”
Both Quentin and Carmen are already active members of Disney VoluntEARS, and will no doubt shine in their role as Ambassadors.
Both aim to showcase the wealth of talent and diversity amongst Cast Members at the resort, and were said to have demonstrated ‘dynamism, radiant personalities and communicative positiveness‘ during the selection process.
Of course, Carmen and Quentin will have a very special task ahead of them, since next year will mark the 30th anniversary of Disneyland Paris.
A celebration will definitely be in order, and it’s bound to be a magical time for our new ambassadors.
The Disney Ambassador Program dates back to 1965, with the first Disneyland Paris Ambassador being announced in 1992. According to Disney, ‘Ambassadors have continued to play a prominent role in each of the Disney destinations, carrying on the tradition and Walt Disney’s desire to share the magic around the globe‘.
Both the ambassadors for Walt Disney World and Hong Kong Disneyland have also been announced this month.
The current Ambassador for Disneyland Paris is Giona Prevete, who will step down to allow Carmen and Quentin to take over from January 1, 2022.
You can follow Carmen and Quentin in their new roles over on the official Disneyland Paris Ambassador social media channels, and see how they spread magic for guests and Cast Members alike.
Congratulations, Carmen and Quentin!
