5 Can’t-Miss Stops for Your Next Skyliner Bar Crawl
Next time you get to visit Disney World kid-free, take the time to visit these Can’t-Miss stops along the Skyliner. During my most recent Disney trip, I had the good fortune to go with girlfriends and we had a wonderful time! For our arrival day, we didn’t have park tickets so we relaxed and did a Resort/Bar Crawl along the Skyliner. Here’s the path we took, so you can recreate it for yourselves…we HIGHLY recommend it!
Skyliner Stop 1: The Drop Off
Disembark the Skyliner and turn right toward Art of Animation. Wind your way past the pool on the left-hand side and you’ll run straight into it.
This Finding Nemo-themed pool-side bar offers a wide variety of adult beverages that are sure to quench your thirst. I enjoyed a Rum and Coke slushy, while my fellow crawlers enjoyed a Watermelon Margarita and a Big Blue Ocean cocktail. All are highly recommended!
The Watermelon Margarita was a blend of Patron Silver Tequila, Monin Watermelon Syrup, sour mix, and fresh lime juice, topped with a fresh slice of watermelon. The Big Blue Ocean Cocktail combined Svedka Vodka, Bacardi Superior Rum, Bols Blue Curacao, and lemonade, with a souvenir glow cube.
Skyliner Stop 2: Petals
Depart Art of Animation and cross the bridge over Hourglass Lake. You’re now at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Pop Century is designed similarly to Art of Animation, so travel past the pool on the left-hand side, and Petals can’t be missed.
Petals is a Flower Power themed pool-bar featuring fun and funky beverages sure to make you reminisce. I enjoyed a Lava Lamp, a groovy mix of Bacardi Limon Rum, Bols Blue Curacao, sweet-and-sour, and Sprite with a float of grenadine.
Other crawlers enjoyed a Frosé, a Rosé and Vodka slush, and a Hula Hoop, a blend of Coconut Rum, Melon and Banana Liqueurs, Grenadine, and pineapple juice.
Skyliner Stop 3: Banana Cabana
Climb aboard the Skyliner and make your way to Caribbean Beach Resort. You’ll have a bit of a walk from the Skyliner station to Banana Cabana, but it’s worth the extra steps.
Banana Cabana is yet another pool-side bar. Featuring drinks that are sure to get you in a tropical mood. You can order at the bar and hang out by the water, or be added to the walk-up list and get a table for eating and dining.
At this stop, our drinks included a Caribbean Smuggler, Captain Morgan Rum and Parrot Bay Coconut Rum mixed with Cranberry and Pineapple juice, and Kraken Punch, Kraken Black Spiced Rum, and Blood Orange Sour mixed with Pomegranate and Orange juice. We also enjoyed a Banana Cabana, since it’s named after the bar.
Skyliner Stop 4: Bar Riva
By this point the fireworks over Epcot had started, so we boarded the Skyliner yet again, and headed for Disney’s Riviera Resort. We watched the fireworks from outdoor tables placed along the waterway.
While we watched, we enjoyed drinks from Bar Riva. Drinks included Red Sangria, a Grapefruit Beer, and Frose. As well as waters all around.
Skyliner Stop 5: Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas
When the fireworks ended, we boarded the Skyliner for the last time and made our way back to the Epcot Skyliner station. We disembarked and walked over to the Boardwalk for one last stop.
After indulging in quite a few adult beverages, we ordered pizza from the Boardwalk Pizza window and enjoyed the lights, boats, and relaxing feel of The Boardwalk.
We also ordered Boozy Dole whips from Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas to cap off the night. It was a fabulous experience and one I highly recommend for your next “adult-only” Disney adventure.
