The question of when the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer would finally debut to fans had been. story for much of the summer, with it finally releasing August 23rd; which makes us wonder, did WandaVision know all along?
Marvel and Sony had been prepping for the release of maybe their most anticipated film to date; with the December debut date of Spider-Man: No Way Home getting closer, the first trailer had yet to be dropped despite the impending theatrical release of the film.
For the longest time, fans have speculated over just when the trailer would finally be released; with fans turning their constant waiting into a sort of meme of their own.
Finally, at Sony’s Cinemacon presentation, the trailer debut to the audience in attendance before releasing online for fans to see.
It is this August 23rd release date, however, that has fans curious as to whether or not this entire journey to the trailer may have something to do with what could be Marvel’s greatest easter egg.
If the date, August 23rd, feels a little familiar, that’s because the date is reminiscent of the premiere episode of Marvel’s Disney+ exclusive series WandaVision.
The episode saw Vision and Wanda unable to remember why there was a heart placed on a specific date on their calendar; the date in question? August 23rd.
This leads us to ask the very important question; Did WandaVision know all along?
The small detail was noticed by a few Tik Tok users, who took to the platform to share their shock and curiosity as to whether or not the nod was an intentionally easter egg by the company or just an incredible coincidence.
User @andrewsvisuals noted the easter egg on his channel, with a video explaining the significance of the moment, and how shocking the revelation will be if the move was indeed intentional.

This was a trend that continued, as fellow Tik Tok user @dimitribeauchamp also made note of the discovery.
He also posted a video explaining the shocking discovery, while also posting the scene in question that highlights the relevance of the date within the episode itself.

The episode had its own explanation for why the date had a heart, but it is an interesting question nonetheless.
With Marvel maintaining their commitment to interesting and thought-provoking easter eggs, this would undoubtedly be their greatest.
