BREAKING: Water Leak Closes Down Parts of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are experiencing some extra excitement right now, though maybe not the kind you want on your Disney vacation.
A water leak has closed down parts of the island-inspired hotel including Boutiki, Tambu Lounge, Kona Cafe, Kona Island, and Ohana.
Water Leak at Polynesian Village Resort
Earlier this afternoon, we received reports of a water leak happening at the popular Walt Disney World resort.
A quick stop at the hotel showed many of our favorite retail and dining locations temporarily closed.
A quick look at the My Disney Experience app shows the specific locations affected as temporarily closed and encouraging guests to visit other locations.
The photos show how quiet and empty the hotel is right now.
Here is another great look. Friendly cast members are strategically located to assist guests and answer questions.
Wow! Have you ever seen the Polynesian this empty?
The good news is that not all locations are closed, so guests can still purchase food and merchandise items.
Moana Mercantile and Capt. Cooks are still open, and Trader Sam’s plans on opening later today, too.
We will be following this story so stay tuned.
