BREAKING: Chip and Dale Join Magic Kingdom Statue Collection
The penultimate, mischevious chipmunk pair, Chip and Dale, became the latest of Mickey’s pals to join the Disney Fab 50. The collection of golden statues debuts at the Walt Disney World Resort this fall as part of the “World’s Most Magical Celebration.” The “EARidescent” celebration starts October 1st and marks an 18-month commeration of the resort’s 50th anniversary.
As expected, the rascally friends will appear with Mickey and his other sidekicks at the Magic Kingdom when the statues debut in just a few weeks.
To make the announcement, Disney Parks Blog asked Josh Peck. He currently stars as Scott Turner in the Disney+ reboot of “Turner and Hooch.”
50th Anniversary Preparations
The Magic Kingdom continues to undergo a wealth of refurbishments in anticipation of the 50th anniversary celebration, including an incredible Cinderella Castle makeover.
The “Partners” statue also recently received an upgrade to make sure that it shined throughout the celebration.
