Disney World is Getting Back to Pre-Pandemic Numbers
Disney World has been reporting that they are finally getting back to pre-pandemic business numbers and it’s starting to show with the increase in attendance and more restaurants and resorts opening.
Just a couple of weeks ago we got the exciting news that All-Star Music and Sports resorts will be reopening this fall, as well as Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter resorts. I think a lot of people were thrilled to hear this!
With Animal Kingdom Lodge reopening this fall as well, every resort will be welcoming guests.
Not only are hotels reopening but more restaurants as well! Sebastian’s Bistro at Caribbean Beach resort with a new family-style menu, the fan-favorite ‘Ohana at the Polynesian resort, Tusker House at Animal Kingdom Park, and the Boardwalk Ice Cream Shop at the Boardwalk Inn. So many familiar places I can’t wait to revisit!
Another pre-pandemic experience that guests were anxiously waiting for were the return of fireworks. With Happily Ever After and EPCOT Forever returning for a short time, they have given guests the true Disney experience we all look forward to the most.
The crowds are definitely not lacking this summer either. With social distancing and masks regulations gone, attendance has been peaking with long lines and bigger crowds.
I’ve been seeing all over social media platforms that many furloughed Cast Members are finally be recalled back to work. “We are actually on par with our pre-pandemic numbers, and we’re continuing to hire every single day,” Maribeth Bisienere, senior vice president of Walt Disney World Operations, said.
Hopefully with the return of more Cast Members, more experiences like meet and greets will return sooner rather than later as well.
