DCL Cancels July Magic at Sea Staycations in the U.K.
The scheduled 2-, 3- and 4-night cruises scheduled to sail this summer out of Liverpool as part of Disney Cruise Line’s Magic at Sea offerings no longer appear on the company’s planning website.

Though DCL has no issues an official statement yet regarding the cancellations, the six cruises originally set for July 2021 have disappeared from the consumer site.

Cruises begining in August from the port in Southampton as well as this fall from Newcastle and London Tilbury still remain on the site for bookings.

DCL announced the new Magic at Sea this spring as the United Kingdom made great progress in their vaccine rollout and COVID-19 case numbers appeared to decline.

The sailings are exclusive to UK residents and truly offer an “at sea” experiences. These itineraries on the Disney Magic are not schedueld to stop at any ports throughout their journeys.

Coronavirus cases hit a record spring low in May before beginning to climb again in recent days. The planned rollback of lockdown rules in England got pushed back on Friday until at least July 19th. Restrictions in Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland also remain now thanks to the rise in case numbers, according to a BBC article.

In the original plan, all guests aboard the Disney Magic at Sea staycations needed to show proof of full vaccination.
