Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Set to Open This August
The good news just keeps pouring into today! First the return of fireworks at Walt Disney World was announced. And, now, I am happy to report that one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Hotels will be reopening August 26, 2021 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!

With Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge reopening this August, there are just handful of Walt Disney World Resort Hotels were are waiting still waiting to reopen or for a reopening date. They are:
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

It’s also important to note that while Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is reopening this August, Disney has not confirmed if Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House (the Resort’s sister DVC Resort) will also be reopening at the same time. Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Kidani Village has been open since last Summer.

There are also two Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that a reopening date has been announced for but they will reopen later this Summer. They are:
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn which is scheduled to reopen July 2, 2021
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort which is scheduled to reopen on July 19, 2021 have some magical enhancements.

New bookings for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Hotel will open tomorrow, June 16, 2021.
