Awesome New MagicBand Customizations Now Available on My Disney Experience
We here at MickeyBlog have some very exciting news for all of you planning a Walt Disney World getaway in the weeks and months ahead! Disney has recently made some exciting changes to their My Disney Experience App which now gives guests the option of not only being able to choose from the standard complimentary MagicBand colors but also from a wide range of character and themed bands at a small additional cost!
Let’s take a look at how this works!
From the menu on the top right of My Disney Experience simply select the My Magic Bands and Cards option like you normally would!
From there it takes you to a brand new screen showing the large image above! When you scroll down it shows MagicBand Options for each member of your travelling party. When you click on the customize option this pop up window appears:
The first options you’ll see are for the solid colored bands which are STILL available for all onsite resort guests at no additional charge.
However, if you scroll over you’ll start to see a range of new and exciting options. Check them out!
And last but not least, a couple of Disney Villians Customizations:
Once you’ve made your selection you will see it attached to your name with the cost of the band.
You then have the option to go through the same process for everyone in your party.
Guests are then taken to screen where you a required to check-out and pay for your MagicBand purchases. For the customized options, full payment is due at the time that you make your selections and CANNOT be added to the total balance of your Walt Disney World vacation package.
Also just a quick note to readers who will be making your customizations today. Since this is a brand new addition to the already awesome My Disney Experience app and website, there are some kinks that still need to be worked out. If you are getting error messages or pop-up windows that Disney is unable to process your request don’t fret! Disney is still fine-tuning this interface and things will be tickety-boo in no time!
