With the debut of one of Marvel’s Loki on Disney+, the companies saw the incoming release of Episode One as a prime opportunity to capitalize on the character’s immense fandom and the series incredible following.
The product went live today and sold out within seconds of being available to purchase. Loki fans who still desperately want to get their hands on a box of the limited edition cereal will have to face the varying prices on eBay; all landing to as much as $100 a box!
6abc first reported the sellout, followed closely by IGN.com; both being sure to note the extremely limited release of 3500 boxes being completely bought through in under a minute.
During the sale, quick trigger fans could’ve purchased the limited product for $4.99 a box. With the sellout occurring so quickly, fans are left to scour the pages of eBay at the mercy of those who were quick enough to obtain the product.

Loki fans were quick to note their displeasure with the unfolding of the sale; with many fans certainly blaming those seeking to make a profit with both the reasoning for the sellout and the jump in price. Few expected Loki Charms to sell out within seconds like it did
There has yet to be word on if Lucky the Leprachaun is in danger of losing his gig as cereal mascot to Loki again in the future; with the constant referring to the product’s limited availability, however, a resale of the cereal seems highly unlikely.
The first episode of Loki debuted on Disney+ on June 9th, and fans can catch the time-traveling adventures of The God of Mischievous in the entire ten-episode first season to come this summer.
