The Original Wasp’s Debut
Debuting as the original Wasp Janet van Dyne in the sequel of “Ant-Man and the Wasp” in 2018, van Dyne’s husband, Hank Pym, realizes that he can save his wife. She spent decades trapped in the Quantum Realm before Pym, played by Michael Douglas, realizes that people do come back from the time-warping realm. Her daguther, Hope, played by Evangeline Lilly, and Ant-Man Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd, assist on the heroic escape.
All four also make an appearance at the end of “Avengers: End Game” when they return from the Blip. They reunite with many other Avengers to attend Tony Stark’s funeral. (The moment briefly unites the Stark and Pym families, despite their decades-long feud.) Hope also fights valiantly in the ultimate battle to defeat Thanos earlier in the film.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” at Avengers Campus
Ant-Man star Rudd made an appearance on Wednesday at the Avengers-studded spectacular to officially initiate Avengers Campus. The new innovative land debuted at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort yesterday.
The campus immerses new Avengers recruits in original story lines, training them for heroic missions ahead. Ant-Man fans certainly want to head straight for the Pym Test Kitchen, which uses Pym Particles’ shrink-and-grow technology for some seriously unique and inventive-size bites.
If you have a large group, Hank Pym is ready for you with the giant Family-sized Pym-ini, an almost $100 collosal version of the dining locations signature sandwich.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” hits theatres on Feb. 17, 2023 with the original four stars set to return. Katheryn Newton joins that cast as Cassie Lang, Scott Lang’s daughter. One of the greatest Marvel villians of all time Kang the Conqueror makes his MCU debut in this film. He will be played by Jonathon Majors.
