ICYMI: Celebrating Earth Day and the PeopleMover!
There was a lot to celebrate last weekend, what with Earth Day and the reopening of The PeopleMover!
And MickeyBlog.com and MagicalNewsLIVE were there to cover the events, no matter what Mother Nature through at our intrepid vloggers.
Earth Day and the PeopleMover
While we watch Nick, Greg, and Elyssa make their way through the parks — this time being Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom — it’s nice to live vicariously through the Antonelles.
Hopefully, this recap finds you in a good state of mind at the beginning of another week.
Firstly: Flights of Passage
Nick jumped right into it at AK, or mort precisely jumped onto it (via a banshee) in Avatar Flight of Passage.
As he traversed Animal Kingdom, Nick passed by Restaurantosaurus Burgers & Sundaes.
And Nick also shows viewers around the beautiful scenery of Animal Kingdom.
And we catch a glimpse of the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck.

Meanwhile, Nick set up his video:
Join us LIVE at 2pm ET from Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We’ll try new treats just for the Earth Day Celebration! We also plan to go on some rides, see some RARE characters, and more! It’s going to be a wild time celebrating our planet that we know and LOVE!
The Waiting Game in Magic Kingdom
On Sunday, April 25, after an abortive attempt and disappointing attempt on Saturday, the Antonelle clan — including Nick and friends — headed back to Magic Kingdom.
There, they headed straight to Tomorrowland and The PeopleMover and waited. And waited. And wandered.
We posted some stories about it all!
But firstly, of course, there was Town Square and Main Street, U.S.A. and Cinderella Castle.
Check out the Castle. Notice the clouds; dark clouds loomed behind the iconic building.
But when Greg got there, nobody really waiting — he and Elyssa set up shop.
Some great views of a near-empty Tomorrowland.
And if you want to see a crazy scene, check out the beginning of the saga.
However, after the storm, the sun came out. And the PeopleMover began to move. And the chains came down.
And, of course, you can see the end of the whole thing. What a video. What a wonderful view.
