Star Wars: MORE Nostalgia Coming to Disney+
The Clone Wars micro-series, two live-action Ewok films, the animated Star Wars: Ewoks, and the animated first appearance of Boba Fett all coming to Disney Plus….
As we reported earlier, there is a whole lot of new (to you) content coming to Disney+ in April.
April on Disney Plus
Our own Melissa Roden had the full story earlier today.
However, this tweet caught my eye and resonated deeply as I thought about the Star Wars content ready to roll on the Disney streaming service:
Before the internet, I honestly didn't know if I'd dreamt the Ewok movie I saw when I was a kid. If it wasn't on the California Video shelf it didn't exist https://t.co/6kayNXOX2N

The Ewoks Are Coming!
I know I was excited to see them. I know I watched both.
But I legitimately don’t remember much about either made-for-TV “Ewoks” feature.
However, with my little guys floating around the same age as I was when I discovered Star Wars, we can all discover Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle of Endor – together.
Similarly, my crew and I will take in Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003).
Star Wars: Clone Wars
The collection of shorts originally meant to bridge the gap between Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, we’re produced by Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky:
The above remains as some of my favorite Star Wars.
Baby Boba Fett
Of course, there is also the animated Boba Fett appearance from the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special; in an animated short entitled “The Story of The Faithful Wookiee,” Boba’s first-ever video appearance will also show on Disney+.
This Boba bit is every bit a 1970s product, right down to the fact that the animation by Nelvana was originally contracted by George Lucas after he saw the group’s animated holiday special, “Cosmic Christmas.”
FWIW: For me, the above special is the ONLY holiday special that seems to capture the same “meaning of Christmas” sentiment that Linus did in “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” It’s well worth 25-minutes of your time.
Ewoks Cartoon
Conversely, I rarely saw the below. No, the Ewoks cartoon was not in my catalog. I don’t remember a single scene.
But we’ll probably give it a shot, too.
Unfortunately, Ewoks‘ sister show, Droids, is not yet set to show on Disney+, but I am plenty curious to see it show up.
Like the Boba Fett short, Ewoks and Droids were both produced by Nelvana, too.
But how about you? What content are you looking forward to on Disney+?
