Star Wars: From A Certain Point Of View – Empire At 40
I am very happy. And you should be, too. Especially if you love Star Wars. Especially if you love books. From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back will soon be available.
Sometimes you have a plan that goes perfectly. Other times not so much.

And today, StarWars.com debuted the cover.
I mean, as my kids would say, “That’s really cool, Dad.”
Really Cool, It Is….
And yes, indeed, “Really cool, it is.”
No more waiting

The first “From a Certain Point of View” — based on Star Wars: A New Hope — is one of my most, most favorite entries in my Star Wars book collection (made even better on audible).
But this one; this one is about The Empire Strikes Back.
Filling In The Gaps: The Empire Strikes Back
StarWars.com posted:
The anthology series From a Certain Point of View is set to return with From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back, celebrating 40 years of Episode V and arriving November 10. Like its predecessor, From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back will feature 40 stories by 40 authors reimagining the classic sequel through the eyes of background characters — heroes, villains, droids and creatures.
One of my favorite Star Wars peeps did four excellent videos on the original book (spoilers):
Give Back, You Will
Meanwhile, there is a charitable aspect of the new volume.
The Mother Ship reported:
All participating authors have generously forgone any compensation for their stories. Instead, their proceeds will be donated to First Book — a leading nonprofit that provides new books, learning materials, and other essentials to educators and organizations serving children in need. To further celebrate the launch of this book and both companies’ longstanding relationships with First Book, Penguin Random House will donate $100,000 to First Book, and Disney/Lucasfilm will donate 100,000 children’s books — valued at $1,000,000 — to support First Book and their mission of providing equal access to quality education.
The full roster of authors for the new book will be revealed on July 16. And, well, November 10 is gonna be a good day.
