Monorail Station at the Polynesian Resort Has Been removed for Construction
Construction continues on Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. We stopped by to get some updated pics and we found that the entire monorail platform has been removed for further work.
This is all due to the main building, the Great Ceremonial House getting a major make-over. This includes changes to the Port Cochere, the main lobby area as well as monorail station located on the second floor.
Last month we reporter that the iconic beams on top of the resort that was previously removed were once again put back up.
More work will be carried out inside the ceremonial hall including new mid-century suspended lights in keeping with the awesome tiki-style decor. According to Disney, the chandeliers will really be something to behold. They will draw their inspiration from glass floats, fishing nets and oversized bamboo elements!
Rooms will also receive a bit of an upgrade with the introduction of some Moana theming which kids are sure to love!
We’ll be paying close attention to the changes taking place there over the next few months. Readers are encouraged to keep checking in with us for further news and updates!
