Wooden Beams Going Back Up At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
It’s full steam ahead when it comes to renovations over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! Our MickeyBlogger popped by the monorail resort this afternoon to provide us with a look at how the refurbishments are coming along
Check out the most recent images taken today (December 15) below:
In a recent post we shared images of the wooden beams coming down over the Great Ceremonial House drastically changing the skyline of Disney’s monorail resorts.
We’re now pleased to say that after a refurbishment they are being put back in place.
When we drove by earlier a crane was hoisting them back into place!
The main building of the property is getting a drastic overhaul.
This includes changes to the Port Cochere, the main lobby area as well as monorail station located on the second floor.
More work will be carried out inside the ceremonial hall including new mid-century suspended lights in keeping with the awesome tiki-style decor.
According to Disney, the chandeliers will really be something to behold. They will draw their inspiration from glass floats, fishing nets and oversized bamboo elements!
Rooms will also receive a bit of an upgrade with the introduction of some Moana theming which kids are sure to love!
Inside the property, it is business as usual, as a matter of fact we’ve been visiting quite alot of the holiday period for shopping or dining.
There is signage up and some restricted areas but the tropical holiday vibes can still be found at the Poly in abundance.
We’ll be paying close attention to the changes taking place there over the next few months. Readers are encouraged to keep checking in with us for further news and updates!
