NEW Relaxation Stations Give Guests A Break From Mask Wearing at EPCOT
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you know that Disney World has established designated relaxation stations at the theme parks where guests can take a mask-free breather if you find you need a bit of a break. Earlier this week we shared images of the ones located in Tomorrowland and Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom and today as we meander through EPCOT we thought we’d give you a quick rundown of where you can find them here.
There are three relaxation stations that we know of at the theme parks but the only one we’ve been able to hit up so far is the one at the United Kingdom. You’ll find this location at the outdoor seating area at the terrace near the Yorkshire County Fish Shoppe.
There is signage that directs you to the station.
Even though you are free to take your mask off there are still safety precautions that guests are expected to maintain. This includes social distancing, not touching your face or eyes and being sure to cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
The area is spacious with beautiful views of the Lagoon and lots of room to spread out. It was very quiet during our visit.
There are umbrella tables for those that need to get out of the sun.
Here’s another look at just how quiet this area was.
Similar to what we’ve seen at other eateries, every other table was marked with these decals so that guests would keep their distance from one another.
Here’s another look at the walkway leading you down into the seating area.
There were also some standing tables for those just looking to make a quick pit stop.
There was also a really nice view of guests coming and going from the bridge. All in all it was a nice spot to sit, unwind and watch the world pass by- all while getting out of that hot Orlando sun.
Now this is just one of three stations that we are being told are currently available for guests to utilize at Epcot. There is another for guests in Future World. It is located near Test Track and Mission: SPACE. You’ll also find one inside Akershus Royal Banquet Hall next to the Frozen Ever After Ride. Akershus is not currently offering charactering dining so tables have been space out in the dining hall to accommodate guests needing an air conditioned break.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog. We’ll be at the theme parks all week and will be coming back to you for the latest Walt Disney World news and updates.
