Updated Park Hours for New Year’s Eve
Despite the reduced hours Disney parks have been posted lately, it looks as though the hours for New Year’s Eve has been somewhat extended. Take a look.
Just last month, the park hours showed all parks closing by 7pm or 8pm at the latest, so it’s nice to see this change for the holiday.
As you can see from the images above, for December 31, 2020, Magic Kingdom (which usually does a special evening fireworks display for New Year’s Eve will actually be closing at11pm. At EPCOT it is more of the same with a 10PM closure. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios things will be wrapping up at p:00pm and Animal Kingdom is earlier still with an 8:00 pm closure.

Now, it should be noted that hours can change but It does look like Disney is planning their winter schedule with an abundance of caution and assuming that health and safety measures including attendance caps and social distancing restrictions will still need to be in place as we start the New Year.

For many of those visiting Disney during the Holiday Season, ringing in the New Year at the theme parks or at a special Disney dining event is high on the must-do list. However, with COVID-19 cases expected to continue through the Winter, it looks like Disney has made the decision to keep somewhat reduced (even though they have been extended generously) theme park hours on New Year’s Eve and forego the fireworks.

Earlier this year we announced that Disney has canceled both the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties and EPCOT’s Candlelight Processionals for the upcoming Christmas Season.
