Walt Disney World Sends Email, Requests Action for Guests with Scheduled Departure Through July 11
This morning, Walt Disney World is sending Guests another round of emails for those who are scheduled to depart the Resort through July 11. This email is asking Guests to confirm their reservation if they still plan on going (even without the Parks being open), change their dates to later in 2020, or cancel their reservation. Disney is asking for a response by June 19.
Here a breakdown of the three options that are available to Walt Disney World Guests who have a vacation scheduled with a departure date through July 11:

1. For Guests Wanting to Keep and Confirm Their Confirmation
If you are looking to keep you current Walt Disney World reservation with a scheduled departure date through July 11, you are asked to do the following:
- Contact the Disney Reservation Center or your Travel Agent to confirm you still intend on traveling
- If the Resort you are currently booked at is not open for your scheduled dates of travel, you will be moved to another Resort at no additional charge. Once you are moved to another Resort, you will not be able to modify to another.
- All dining plans will be removed from your current reservation.
- If you have a package with tickets and scheduled to depart through July 11, 2020, tickets will be removed from your package and the total package price will be reduced.

2. For Guests Wanting to Modify Their Reservation
If your Walt Disney World vacation has a scheduled departure date through July 11 but you wish to change it to a later date, you can do the following:
- Guests can change their reservation to future dates in 2020 only at this time.
- Guests can only change their reservation to one of the Resorts that is currently announced to be open as of June 22. These include most of the DVC Deluxe Resorts as well as the Campgrounds and Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. You will be responsible to pay the difference in the upgrade if applicable.
- If you have travel protection on your reservation, it will be moved to your modified reservation with dates later in 2020.

3. For Guests Who Would Like to Cancel Their Reservation
If your Walt Disney World vacation has a scheduled departure date through, July 11, you can cancel you reservation by contacting the Disney Reservation Center or Travel Agent.
- All change and cancellation fess are being waived by Disney until October 3.
- Travel Protection may not be refunded.
