New Trailer Drops For Olaf Short ‘Once Upon A Snowman’
If you’ve been missing Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and the rest of the Frozen gang, then we have a special treat for you. A brand-new Frozen-inspired choice will debut next Friday (October 23rd.) Once Upon a Snowman follows Olaf (voiced once again by Josh Gad) as he searches to find his name. As comicbook.com tells us, the action takes place after Elsa brights Olaf to life after the “Let It Go” musical number from the original film.
As it turns own Olaf has an adventure of sorts before meeting Anna and Kristoff in the forest.
And to celebrate the imminent arrival of this Olaf backstory, Disney+ has just dropped a new trailer for the short! The piece, which we’ll share below, shows Olaf trying out some other names for himself like “Fernando” and “Trevor” whilst admitting that he’s having a bit of an identity crisis.

So could this short film be a precursor for Frozen III? In a previous interview with comicbook.com, Gad said,
“I don’t know. I mean, here’s the deal. Frozen II wasn’t Frozen II until there was a reason to exist. And similarly, I don’t know if and when there will be a Frozen III.” Gad continued, “That’s way above my pay grade, but what I can tell you is this: There was an opportunity to take these characters and bring again a sense of hope and inspiration. And it’s why the team at Disney and I teamed up on the past couple of weeks to do At Home with Olaf. And so the Frozen saga continues, even if it’s not necessarily in the form of a third movie. But we’ll see! If there’s always a story worth telling, I’m sure that Jennifer Lee and the incredible team over at Disney animation will tell that story one day.”
So be sure to check out the loveable Olaf in his upcoming short on Disney+ starting on October 23rd. Also be sure to keep following along with MickeyBlog for more Disney+ news and updates.
