New Announcement Warns of Removal from Parks if Not Wearing Face Coverings Correctly
A new announcement was heard today as we were at Disney Springs. It stated the usual spiel about mandatory face coverings and social distancing, but a part was added in the middle that states if someone doesn’t comply with the face-covering rule, they will be asked to leave the property. Take a listen.
We also spotted a new sign at the entrance of Magic Kingdom on Friday and also Epcot on Saturday that states the same thing.
Walt Disney World guidelines for face coverings are as follows:
- Fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the Guest to remain hands-free
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
- Be secured with ties or ear loops
- Be made of breathable material, either disposable or reusable
Costume masks are not considered appropriate and are prohibited from being worn, in alignment with our existing rules.
Walt Disney World states that all Guests will be required to provide their own face coverings. You can find some really cool Disney-themed ones on shopDisney.com!
Face coverings is just one of several changes Guests will experience on their next Walt Disney World vacation. To focus on Guests and Cast Members health and safety, Disney has implemented new social distancing and sanitizing guidelines. To ensure restaurants and Parks operate at a limited capacity, they also have just cancelled dining reservations, FastPasses, and experiences for all Guests scheduled to travel in 2020.
