VIDEO: Meet Disney World’s Class of 71- Cast Members That Have Been With The Company For 50 Years!
We’ve got something pretty remarkable to share with you. With under a week to go until Disney’s 50th Anniversary celebration, we’ve been talking a lot about how cast members are the chief magic makers! Case in point, there are some two dozen cast members that have been with the theme park since it opened 50 years ago- referred to as the Class of 1971.
It goes without saying that their contributions over the past 50 years mark an astonishing dedication to creating magical moments for guests and inspiring the cast members that work alongside them.
Recently, Disney’s Class of 1971 cast members came together in celebration ahead of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” on October 1st.
Each cast member was even gifted with a special keepsake of their 50th Anniversary EARidescent nametag and service pin marking 50 years of continued service at Walt Disney World. Class of 71 will have the distinction of being the first cast members to wear these new nametags!
After five decades of service, these cast members were also gifted with an exclusive embroidered pair of Mickey Ears from the new 50th Anniversary Vault Collection. These ears were inspired by the vintage ears found in the Walt Disney Archives and are definitely a fitting memento for Disney World’s longest-serving cast members.
