Nine of the Best Meal Deals at Walt Disney World
Who doesn’t love a good deal? At Walt Disney World, this statement is particularly true.
Every dollar you shave off your food budget is one you can divert to your shopping budget. And splurge buys provide much more long-term satisfaction.
When you dine at Disney, you’ll appreciate the remarkable quality of its restaurants as a whole. However, Table Service restaurants cost substantially more.
I’m here to tell you that some Quick Service meals surpass Table Service options in quality…and at half the price!
Here are nine of the best Disney meal deals, counter service places that foodies will adore.
(Note: Some of these aren’t currently available due to the pandemic.)
Casey’s Corner
Who doesn’t love a hot dog? Don’t answer that, vegans!
Seriously, though. The ballpark theme at Casey’s Corner brings joy into the hearts of baseball lovers like me.
As we walk down Main Street, U.S.A., we feel at home when we notice this long-standing restaurant.
The symbolism matters, as baseball is America’s pastime.
So, a restaurant themed to the game feels perfect for this street that personifies the American heartland.
Casey’s Corner primarily sells hot dogs and corn dog nuggets, but that’s all most of us need. And most of the stuff on the menu costs $10 or less. Once it reopens, we’ll be first in line!
Chicken Guy!
Admittedly, Guy Fieri is a bit of an acquired taste. In fact, many people never develop that particular taste. He’s…a lot.
Still, Fieri didn’t soar to the top of the culinary world by accident. This celebrity chef has mastered the art of peasant food.
At Disney Springs, you can sample some of his wares at Chicken Guy!
Well, you can do that as long as you like chicken tenders. The menu here is relatively limited.
Presuming that you do, you can perform a little taste test to decide which of 22 different sauces is your favorite.
Remarkably, the dishes here are among the most affordable at Walt Disney World. Many entrees cost $6.99 or less. I pay more than that at Culver’s.
Columbia Harbour House
Walt Disney emphasized change at his parks, demanding that everything gradually improve over time.
Still, some aspects of a park visit remain sacred. Imagineers leave many of the classics alone, save for a modest tweak here and there.
For generations now, Columbia Harbour House has fallen into this category. It’s one of the oldest restaurants at Walt Disney World…and one of the best, too.
Somehow, the fish-intensive dishes here have remained affordable throughout the years, though.
The beloved Trio Platter still costs less than $14, while the beloved New England Clam Chowder is only about $7.
In terms of bang for the buck, Columbia Harbour House is top 10 at Disney.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
One of the newest entries on this list also provides one of the strangest dining experiences.
Docking Bay 7 sells the most refined flavors on Batuu, which I’m told is a positive.
You won’t know any of the proteins on the menu, but they taste as much like chicken as anything at Chicken Guy!
Okay, I’m having a bit of fun here with the over-the-top theming at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but this restaurant is well worth your time.
The Quick Service restaurant blurs the lines between grab-and-go and sit-down meals.
The prices reflect this, as it’s probably the most expensive restaurant on this list. However, the dishes are of a higher caliber, with pot roast and pork ribs as options.
Plus, you’ll feel like you’re vacationing on an alien planet, which adds to the enjoyment.
Earl of Sandwich
Come on, you knew this one had to be on the list.
Earl of Sandwich has become something of a legend for its combination of delicious sandwiches at terrific prices.
Central Florida residents have named it as one of the best theme park restaurants in town, while TripAdvisor believes it’s top 20 overall in Orlando.
For a few bucks, you’ll eat better than you could at some places that charge $60 or more for one person.
Morimoto Asia Street Food
Most Disney Springs guests have visited Morimoto Asia at least once. And since the food is mouthwatering,
they’ve probably gone back many more times.
However, not everyone realizes that there’s a counter service station here.
Several ramen dishes and rice bowls are available via grab-and-go. More impressively, the prices are all $20 or less.
You can get an Iron Chef-approved bath of spareribs for $16. Shop around. You can’t beat those prices.
The Polite Pig
My wife and I have a divide in our relationship. She’s wisely chosen a vegan lifestyle while I’m so much of a carnivore that you might confuse me with a lion.
I wish I could follow her lead, but I love the taste of pig too much. I’m a ham guy and a bacon guy and especially a pork guy.
Ergo, The Polite Pig feels like a special gift from the restaurateurs to me personally.
This place’s owners had already earned a reputation as serving the best barbecue in Orlando before they opened another business in Disney Springs.
Since then, The Polite Pig has become a favorite with locals, partially because of the flavors but also due to the prices.
Most entrees here cost between $12 and $15, a steal for such high-end barbecue.
Satu’li Canteen
You can eat off-world for cheap at two different places at Walt Disney World. Docking Bay 7 is one, and this is the other.
At Satu’li Canteen, you’re dining in a futuristic mess hall on the world of Pandora. And the cuisine is similarly exotic to that at Star Wars land.
You’ll eat protein bowls and cheeseburger pods here, all of which cost $15 or less. Even the combo protein bowl is only $17.
Oh, and the decadent dessert, Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse, is currently $5.29! That’s the best $5 you will spend in your entire life!
Woody’s Lunch Box
This place claims such a massive volume of customers that Disney couldn’t operate it during the pandemic. It’d cause a bottleneck throughout Toy Story Land.
That hasn’t happened by accident, as Woody’s Lunch Box has mastered the art of high-end comfort food.
The grilled cheese sandwiches and tater tots may sound like something you can cook, but unless you’ve been
on Top Chef, you can’t.
Disney chefs have uncovered the perfect recipe for grilled cheese…and even sell a vegan version if that interests you!
Best of all, several entrees cost less than $10!
That’s the shared trait for all the restaurants listed here. You can enjoy a spectacular meal for a fraction of the price of a Table Service dinner.
