Is a NCAA Basketball Bubble Coming to Walt Disney World?
While NCAA Basketball is no stranger to Walt Disney World (pre-season tournaments have been played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for several years), it appears that teams might be coming again this Fall but in a Bubble format similar to what the NBA is currently doing.
Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) of CBS Sports tweeted about the possibility earlier this week:

Hosting a NCAA Bubble at Walt Disney World looks highly appealing with the success of the current NBA Bubble. The NBA along with Disney has manged to keep all players and staff healthy and safe. Earlier this week we reported that for the fourth straight week in a row there were no positive COVID-19 cases.
Currently on the NCAA early season basketball schedule is the 2020 Champions Classic tournament that is scheduled to be held in Chicago with a tip off date of November 10. This annual tournament always includes four teams: Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Michigan State. These teams are predicted to be ranked highly in the NCAA Basketball preseason poll which could mean this tournament could be moved to the Walt Disney World Bubble.
It is unknown at this time if any further NCAA Basketball would be played at Walt Disney World for the 2020-2021 season if/when the early season tournament(s) were held. It is also likely that the NCAA would follow the same format the NBA follows with no spectators allowed at games.

NCAA Basketball isn’t the only league to be eyeing play in a Bubble-like situation. Online reports also indicate that MLB might be looking to host their playoffs in a Bubble and the NFL is looking to do the same.
