Universal Orlando is Opening June 5th and Here are the Safety Guidelines for Guests
Orlando theme parks are beginning to open as early as next week. After the local and state government approved park plans, guests have opening dates for Seaworld, Legoland, Universal and Walt Disney World parks. Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay will open to the public on June 5th, but there are some safety guidelines guests will have to abide by in order to enjoy the parks.
Important Information from Universal
Here is important information to know if you are visiting the parks directly from Universal’s website.
Guests and Team Members must comply with the following:
Everyone must wear a face covering during their visit.
Temperature checks will be required upon arrival and any guest with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater will not be admitted.
Wash hands often and for at least 20 seconds.
Practice social distancing leaving at least six feet between your travel party and other guests.
Floor markings will be available indicating where guests need to stand in order to maintain social distancing in lines and ride queues.
Avoid contact with people who are sick or appear sick.
Hand sanitizer will be available for guest use at the beginning of rides when boarding ride vehicles. Guests will be required to use hand sanitizer before riding.
Guests will be asked to follow the directions of team members as the park works through new operational procedures.
These signs will be present in the parks as they follow CDC guidelines for the health and safety of guests. Even though higher sanitation procedures will take place throughout the parks, Universal Orlando does not guarantee guests will not get sick.
Other Safety Measures from Universal
In addition to the posted measures above there are additional safety measures in place. These include:
- Limiting capacity and following social distancing guidelines throughout all attractions, restaurants and shops throughout the destination
- Increasing our already-aggressive cleaning and disinfection procedures, and frequently cleaning all high-touch surfaces
- All team members will undergo temperature checks and wear face coverings
- All team members will participate in extensive training on our new procedures
A new contact free app is available for mobile ordering, virtual lines, ticket purchase and TapTu Pay at Volcano Bay.
